Make roomfor the sea.

Three private residences shaped by salt, stone and the generous quiet between arrivals.

01 — The place

Held by a quieter coast.

MAREI follows the contour of a fictional Cycladic headland instead of sitting on top of it. Local limestone carries through terraces and thresholds; olive timber catches the sun; every room is placed for wind, shade and horizon.

Three ways to be alone.

Each house belongs to the same architectural family, but each is tuned to a different relationship with the coast: cliff edge, olive slope and waterline.

02 — The stay

Nothing loud. Everything considered.

There is no lobby clock or programme board. There is a captain when the water calls, a cook when you are hungry, and enough unplanned time for the day to find its own shape.

The rhythm

Yours,
unhurried.

Start with the water. End in the shade. A stay is lightly hosted, never programmed.

03 — Why Marei

A few things, done properly.

01

Space, not spectacle.

There are three houses, generously apart. Each has its own horizon, shade and pace, without the performance of a resort.

02

Service without theatre.

A small local host team anticipates well, then steps back. You will know where to find us; you will not feel managed.

03

Material memory.

Stone, lime plaster, olive wood and hand-thrown clay are used for their warmth and durability—not as a decorative costume.

Inside

Rooms that let the view breathe.

Every suite has a sea-facing opening, a sleeping room that stays cool through the afternoon, and a private outdoor place for reading, swimming or doing nothing at all.

Made with restraint

The texture of a place.

Nothing is glossy. Floors soften under bare feet; shutters age in the salt air; the light changes everything by the hour.

04 — Arrival

Leave the road behind.

Marei is imagined as a forty-five minute boat journey from Paros. Your host meets you at the harbour; bags and logistics disappear before the first swim.

Stay details

Useful before you ask.

A fictional stay includes the whole residence, daily breakfast, a resident host, housekeeping, a private tender transfer from Paros, and a pre-arrival planning call. Cooking, a captain and island guides would be arranged around your preferences.

The concept’s season runs from May through October, with the calmest water generally in late May, June and September. This is illustrative availability only.

MAREI is presented as an introduction-led residence concept, rather than a conventional booking engine. A request would start a short conversation about dates, house choice and how you like to travel.

No. MAREI is an imagined brand and website created solely as a portfolio design exercise. No stays, bookings or guest information are collected.
